Tiago Cutileiro (Lisbon, 1967) is a composer and sound artist. He graduated in Composition at the University of Évora and his work ranges from instrumental to electronic music, sound and audiovisual installations, film and theatre music and it has been performed mainly in Portugal but also in Spain, France and Germany. In 2014, he completed a PhD in Composition on non-narrativity in contemporary music and its relationship with traditionally narrative musical genres. In this context, he composed the opera ‘Tudo Nunca Sempre o Mesmo Diferente Nada’.
Recently, he has focused his work on the relationship between reality (tendentially non-narrative) and artificiality (tendentially narrative) in music and arts.
